Some people need support during the night. Help with toileting, repositioning, managing seizures, or dealing with anxiety and sleep disturbance. Or the reassurance of knowing someone is there if something goes wrong.
Aamoon Care provides overnight care for NDIS participants. We offer both active overnight support, where a worker is awake and available throughout the night, and sleepover support, where a worker stays on site and responds if needed.
A support worker is awake, present, and actively available throughout the night. This is appropriate for participants who need regular assistance such as repositioning, toileting, seizure monitoring, behavioural support, or medication administration overnight.
A lower intensity option where a support worker stays at your home overnight but sleeps unless needed. This suits participants who generally sleep independently but want someone on site in case of emergency or occasional toileting.
We assess your overnight needs through a detailed conversation about your nighttime routine, medical or behavioural considerations, and your preferences. Your overnight worker receives a specific brief covering your routine, medications, emergency procedures, and response preferences.
Overnight care is funded under Core Supports, under Assistance with Daily Life. Active overnight and sleepover rates are different from standard daytime rates. Your coordinator can explain the pricing and help you work out how overnight support fits your budget.
Active overnight means the worker is awake all night providing continuous support. Sleepover means the worker sleeps at your home but responds if you wake and need help. The right option depends on your typical nighttime support needs.
Yes. Overnight care can be delivered in your own home, in a supported independent living property, or in short term accommodation. You will need a suitable sleeping area for the worker if using sleepover.
That is fine. Some participants use it a few nights a week or only on specific nights. We will build a schedule that works for you.
