Daily Personal Activities

Support for the things you do every day

Daily personal activities cover the routine tasks that most people do without thinking. Getting out of bed, getting dressed, managing morning routines, keeping appointments, organising your day. For people with a disability, some or all of these tasks might require support, and that support needs to be reliable, respectful, and tailored to your actual situation.

At Aamoon Care, daily personal activity support is one of our most used services. The way you start your day, the order you prefer to do things, the level of help you actually need versus what you are offered, these details matter. Get them right and the support just feels like your day.

What this service covers

Daily personal activity support can include assistance with waking up and getting ready, managing personal hygiene routines, getting dressed, organising your schedule, keeping track of appointments, managing correspondence and communications, budgeting and personal administration, and transitioning between activities throughout the day.

The scope varies from person to person. Some participants need hands on physical assistance. Others are mostly independent but need help staying organised or managing executive function challenges. We design the support around what you actually need, and we adjust it as your needs change.

How we deliver this support

We start with a proper assessment. We sit down with you, and with family if you want them involved, and work out what your daily routines look like and where support would be most useful. From that assessment, we build a support plan that maps out what happens, when, and how.

Your support worker receives a detailed brief on your routines. If you prefer your coffee before your shower, or you want to check your phone before anything else, those details go into the plan. We keep the same support workers on your roster as much as possible.

Building independence where possible

Daily personal activity support is not just about doing things for you. Where appropriate and where you want it, our workers will help you build your capacity to manage tasks more independently. That might mean gradually reducing hands on help, introducing assistive technology, or developing routines that make tasks easier to manage on your own.

This is never pushed on anyone. Some participants need consistent, long term support and that is completely fine. Independence is a personal goal, not a performance metric. We follow your lead.

NDIS funding

Daily personal activity support is typically funded under Core Supports in your NDIS plan, specifically under Assistance with Daily Life. If you have funding in this category, you can use it to access this service from Aamoon Care.

Yes. Your schedule is yours to adjust. If your routine changes or the timing is not working, let your coordinator know and we will update the roster. We ask for reasonable notice where possible, but we are flexible.

Tell us. Personality fit matters, and we do not expect every match to be perfect first try. We will arrange a different worker and make the transition smooth.
